Our mission at Lomax Elementary is to provide opportunities for students to achieve their personal best, become responsible and productive citizens, and embrace lifelong learning in a safe and positive environment. We are dedicated to equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to navigate the challenges of the modern world. Through a comprehensive curriculum and a focus on character development, we aim to empower our students to make positive contributions to their communities. Our vision is clear: Excellence in character and academics is the expectation!
I began my teaching career in Pasadena ISD, where I taught kindergarten and first grade for seven years, before taking on the role as the school’s first instructional technology teacher for kindergarten through fifth grade. In 2005, I joined La Porte ISD where I served as an Instructional Technology Specialist for 6 years at Lomax Elementary, until I took on the role of Assistant Principal in 2011. I served in this role for the next six years at several LPISD campuses, including Heritage, College Park, and Bayshore Elementary. In 2016, I served as Interim Principal of Jennie Reid Elementary, then went on to serve as the principal for the next eight years. In 2024, I am excited to have come full circle in LPISD, as I return to Lomax Elementary as the principal.
Thanks,
