Welcome back to another school year at Lomax Elementary! I am very excited for this school year to begin! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher. It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and experiences. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know all about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas as the youngest of five children. My brothers and sisters are Karl, Charles, Karen and Charlotte. Being part of a large family sure did teach me many life lessons. I’ll share the stories with you this year. After I graduated from Sam Rayburn High School, I ventured off to Texas A&M University… Gig’em Aggies!
This will be my 17th year teaching. Over the years, I have been awarded “Teacher of the Year” 3 separate times at 3 different campuses. I have taught a variety of grades from 1st through 6th grade. Fourth grade is my favorite. Having taught both 3rd and 5th grade, I know just where you’re coming from and exactly where you need to go. For me, teaching is a calling I enjoy fulfilling. Every day is a new adventure.
I am married to a wonderful man, Nathan Gaither. Together we have 3 children that I adore. Our confident oldest is Cobie, who just turned 17 this summer. Next, there is our sweet daughter Lexi, who is a spunky 14 years old. Our ever positive youngest son, Mason, is 12 years old. He is my inspiration. They are so much fun, and definitely keep me on my toes at all times. We also have two “furry babies” that we love. Star is a boxer, and Daisy is a golden retriever. Shhh… they think they are human.
